Product Description The TERK XM-6 outdoor antenna is a high performance antenna designed specifically for XM home receivers and XM Plug & Play systems. This antenna can replace the home antenna that comes with many XM Radio home kits and receivers. The TERK XM6 is weather resistant and is designed to maintain better reception for maximum signal strength. The XM6 comes with a universal mounting bracket that can be installed to a wall, roof, or mast (including a satellite dish mast). The antenna itself has a threaded F-type coaxial connector designed for use with a standard RG-6 coax cable (not included). The included F-type to SMB adapter plugs into the XM tuner.

Terk XM6 XM Antenna September 7, 2010 Harry This product was dead out of the box. I purchased it on 4 July 2010, but didn't get around to installing it until this weekend, so I'm also outside the return window. The XM receiver didn't recognize the antenna. Hooked up the small antenna that came with the receiver, and everything is fine. How difficult can it make be to make an XM antenna? Would not recommend this product under any circumstances.

I replaced a Terk antenna that had been working well for about 3 years but crapped out. My replacement antenna that was to fix the system did not work any better. The XM radio did not recognize an antenna was plugged in. I replaced it temporarily with my car antenna and it worked fine. The new antenna was bad out of the box. Unfortunately I discarded the invoice assuming the new antenna would work so I couldn't send it back. Evidently these antennas either work well or don't work at all.
Terk XM6 XM radio antenna August 27, 2010 John J. Walek (Berea, Ohio) I bought this antenna and the cabling Amazon recommends. You need to make sure you order a 3 to 6 foot RG6 coaxial cable to get in the house because it does not come with one.Other than that everything fit together GREAT. Other than crawling up on the garage roof a few times it was VERY EASY to put together and the reception is rock solid for my XM portable (xmp3i) [...]
I listen mostly to talk radio so I can't comment on music quality if you are really picky. Besides you have to buy an out door antenna for satellite or it doesnt work in the house
Quit working within 30 days July 28, 2010 LW I installed the antenna where the best signal could be received. Within 30 days, the antenna was only working on a sporadic basis. Some days it
would work all day, other days it would not work at all or for just a few hours. At this point it has completely stopped working. I have no idea
what caused this to happen, but it is not worth the investment. I have the same problem with other Terk products. I am searching for an antenna made
by anyone other than Terk.
good signal July 20, 2010 Matthew Nieman The 1st antenna I order didn't work at all. I had to return it. The second antenna work good. Other then long waiting period and hassle or returning , I have been happy with it. The antenna defiantly has a good signal and is easy to install.
