What took them so long to make a videogame? October 18, 2008 I've been a Price is Right fan since my childhood. The unlockable videos show you unforgetable moments of the gameshow. However, this videogame is missing some of the old classics. It's missing: Safe Crackers, Check Game, Squeeze Play, Clock game, Barker's bargain bar, Golden road, and many more.
The Price is Right game October 12, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I didn't realize that this game, The Price is Right, could only be used on computers with either XP or Vista. I have neither and only found out the requirements after I had opened the product. In other words, I wasted my money as it cannot be returned after the product was opened. I did the review with one star as it wouldn't let me send this without it. Marlene DeNoon
THE PRICE IS RIGHT October 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am an avid Price is Right fan. I watch it every day so when this new game came on the market I purchased it. While I enjoy playing the game I find that the graphics could have been much better. Other games I have are much better in this department.
Computers, Come On Down?!? September 29, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Over the years, we've seen classic game shows that have delivered as computer games. These past years, the classic standouts like Jeopardy!, Wheel Of Fortune, and Family Feud have continued to deliver not just to hard core fans, but anyone who is interested in nostalgia. However, we've started to see new game shows finally make it to the P.C. including Deal Or No Deal, and Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? But, with all the different game shows, The Price Is Right has definitely been one of the most difficult to deliver as a video game. The longtime show which has dominated for over 35 years on CBS with Bob Barker and recently with Drew Carey, has continued to deliver to fans all over, but has been absent from delivering as a home game so many times. Now, a new video game edition of The Price Is Right is available for the computer for the first time in over 20 years, since the Commodore 64 days. However, does it really allow gamers to say Come On Down!, or just down in out?
The Price Is Right for the P.C. brings the classic game show to computers everywhere. The long-running game shows show well in polish and graphics by bringing the classic studio and game design during the Bob Barker era well, and showcases a distinctive style top to bottom. The game includes a dozen games to the home computer including long-running favorites like Plinko, Cliff Hangers, Shell Game and It's In The Bag. While the graphics look great, and the sound brings back the classic theme song well, there are a few faults to the game that miss the mark well. While the game looks great, there are a few problems that miss the mark. First of all, there is a lack of pricing games on the video game. While there are the popular games here, with over 70 games on the show, you don't have other great games like Grand Game, Barker's Bargain Bar, Pathfinder, and recent games like Stack The Deck and More Or Less in the rotation. Not only that, but in the game you don't have Bob Barker or Drew Carey deliver the work of the host. Instead, you have Price's announcer Rich Fields takeover the position on the game. While Rich works well, but for a game that wasn't a computer game for longtime fans since the 80's, there just should've been more to get the gamers interested.
All in all, The Price Is Right isn't a bad video game for the P.C. and fairs adequately for those who haven't seen the great CBS game show. But, I was just hoping that there could've been a whole lot more to makeup as a video game after a long absence from the market. But, for the price itself, it isn't completely right, but a decent try.

I really like this game September 23, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have Concentration and Wheel of Fortune and have played them to death. They too are entertaining. I just got TPIR and I am having a grand time messing with it. It is fun and I realized that I would do very poorly in person if I were there. I am lousy at guessing prices but as I said, it is fun. I would buy it for a gift for someone.
