 Don't waste your money March 30, 2010

I received this as a birthday present a year ago. I was able to add pictures, and I even managed to change them once. But now, the data folder is gone when I connect it to the computer, so I can't change the pictures at all. I'm stuck with pictures of my first child and my second one gets shafted because I can't change the pictures. The software is useless. The website is useless. Tech support comes back as undeliverable (it seems they're out of business). The menu is not user friendly; the booklet that came with it is useless. I can't figure out how to do anything with it now, except maybe smash it into pieces and get the satisfaction of putting it out of its misery. There are a few directions on ehow that probably would have helped but without the data folder, there's nothing I can do. I don't have a lot of luck with electronic equipment, so I can't recommend another product. But definitely don't waste your money on this one.

I gave this as a Christmas present and it was perfect. I was able to easily show my mom how to use it and to load pictures on it. The remote is a great feature.

I purchased a SmartParts SP800 frame and put it away as a Christmas present for my wife. It was a lemon out of the box when she opened it on Christmas day! Since the actual date of purchase was more than 90 days from Christmas there is no warranty, no recourse for re-imbursement and no longer any SmartParts company at all! I am amazed that these products continue to be sold by reputible companies such as Amazon when the manufacturer itself is bankrupt from selling junk! Do NOT buy SmartParts products! You will be left with an expensive paperweight!

I originally purchased one of these on Black Friday as a gift for my dad. I did my research and couldn't figure out why this one was so much less expensive compared to other sites for the same exact make and model. I decided to give it a try and order it early enough that if it wasn't nice or a good quality, I still had enough time to return this one and buy something else in time for Christmas. When I got it, only a week after placing my order, I was so pleased with the quality and appearance that I quickly ordered a second one for my boyfriend. They both loved their Christmas gifts this year!
