Overall Great Digital Picture Frame February 8, 2010 A. Boman (Providence, UT USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very good picture frame for the price considering everything that is included.
PROS: internal memory is a great feature, 512 MB easily holds 1500+ high resolution pictures and dozens of videos (my camera is 12 mega pixels). Additionally, it allows many different internal memory formats if needed.
the screen produces a very good image. All my photos are crisp and clear on the screen (not sure why some posters said the screen quality was poor either).
the touch screen works very well, better than my cell phone in fact. Set up was very easy and not difficult at all.
the audio feature is cool for the videos that I have placed on it, just be aware that the frame does not produce a lot of sound for your vidoes.
CONS: my only complaint with this frame is the stand that is included on the back of the frame. It is cheap, thin plastic and barely holds up the frame. My frame kept falling over until I modified my stand so that it works much better.
OVERALL: I would definately recommend this to anyone. All things considered, this is a great product. I purchased this for my wife as a Christmas present to show off our pictures from a Mexican Riviera Cruise and she loves it!
Excellent picture with a number of features January 25, 2010 T. Baltes (Kenosha, WI USA) The picture quality is great. Configuration and loading are pretty easy. I wish it would randomly display pictures as a configuration selection
Nice but could be better, January 7, 2010 zerkala (New York) Nice but could be better, materials poor quality than I expected.Loading content and interface is easy to use.Remote is usefull.Display quality is normal.
WIFI frame - Not grandma friendly December 21, 2009 C. Hirt (Grand Rapids, MI USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this frame exclusively for the ability to view photos online using Picasa. I purchased the wifi dongle (sold separately) and the setup was straight forward enough connecting to my wifi network.
I have experience with a samsung frame that works much better than this functionality. I do not recommend this frame for two reasons if you are looking primarily for a wireless frame:
1) photos on picasa DO NOT UPDATE until you do a manual disconnect/reconnect to the picasa network or power cycle the frame. Connecting to picasa takes several minutes (why?) and is a pain to wait each time you want to see updated pictures from the net. I think it takes so long because it has to (re-)download the entire picasa album each time it connects (stupid!)
2) I cannot figure out how to make the scheduled power on/off. I believe that it doesn't really work.
The samsung wireless frame I bought for the other grandparents, while very buggy, does RSS photo feeds near flawlessly. I guess you get what you pay for.
I have talked negatively about the frame because I primarily wanted a wifi photo frame. I think the frame works very well for basic photo (and video!) viewing from a memory card.
