Why so expensive November 17, 2008 I do not understand why these are so expensive. Custom in ear fit is standard and these are the old style stock ipod headphones. I would recommend one of the custom fit in ear ones instead.
Earbuds have superb clarity across the whole sound spectrum. August 14, 2007 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
These earbuds are of very high quality. The sound is well balanced and crystal clear. This feature is what I expected knowing that AKG's parent company is Harmon Kardon. It's almost as if these little things have a built-in amplifier. No joke. With lesser quality earbuds, [speakers for that matter], vocals and instruments tend to sound a bit choppy and jumbled together.
Having a wide crystal clear range really improved the sound of the vocals in the music I hear. For me, finding the right balance between the entire vocal range, lows, mids, and highs, has been toughest thing to find in all of my audio products [home theater, stereo, car audio]. I feel these earbuds do a superb job in striking that balance.
It has also been mentioned that these AKG's dont have the strongest bass response. I agree, but it's no biggie.
I also like that with these earbuds there's practically no sound bleed. I find it annoying to have to hear other people's music I dislike.
pretty good December 14, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
these headphones are really good. the clarity is perfect, with excellent bass, which is not too powerful, yet not too weak. the inline volume control is a little annoying, but is something that be looked over. compared to the sennheiser mx400, it performs about the same. the mx400 feels more suited for softer (less bassy) music such as classical, pop, and rock, while the k14p is more suited toward r&b, hiphop, and trance/techno.
this headphone is the best most genres, however listens who prefer really bassy headphones should look toward the panasonic h288v water-resistant earbuds, which has superb bass.
