Very good for listening, not for pro November 26, 2008 I bought it because I was curious why so many people (including some studio pros) recommended it and I just could not believe the price.
This are excellent headphones for listening to your computer or ipod.
However, for stereo positioning or freq-dist ithey are completely unusable. I guess we still have to stick to our 702s. It' strongly overemphasiszing above 2.5K, specifcally 3rd and 5th.
I also want to stress that the build quality is way below par. I cut my fingers (literally) on the outer shield.
A+ Headphones November 2, 2008 These headphones are amazing, simply put. I had been researching headphones for over a month and these just seemed like the best quality for my price range and they certainly have lived up to my expectations. They deliver perfect sound and fit comfortably for hours. Also, they do not require a headphone amp for my Zune so listening on the go is easy.
Very nice sound October 18, 2008 I got these because I wanted a really good pair of headphone and I wanted some that didn't make my ears itch. Problem solved.
The Good: They have a rich, well-balance sound. I like these because of the open-air which doesn't hold moisture in my ears. These headphone also fit very well, no adjusting, though if you started dancing or something they might come off.
FYI: They a bit bigger than I expected, but they don't feel big because of the way they fit. The screen color is purple, perhaps not the most masculine of colors. I might end up taking a sharpie to the screen. Both positive and negative is that you can hear sounds around you. In a way I like it so I don't miss something, but on the other hand drowning out others is a purpose of wearing headphones.
Great sound, large, weird color choices August 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using these headphones for about a full month now for mainly gaming and music. So far they perform superbly and actually worked amazingly well before I bought a new sound card to enhance them. They sound even better now but not enough to justify a $100 sound card purchase. It took about a week to get used to the largeness of the headphones since I have a thin head but they adjusted quite quickly. My only gripe with these headphones is that they look dorky with their gold and purple color design. Who picks those colors for headphones, honestly?! It may have royal colors but they don't really look good with a black case, black monitor, black mouse, and so forth. Just stupid. Oh, they seem super sturdy and I've almost tossed them around a bit and them haven't cracked or made any sign of breaking. The flexibility to them probably has a lot to do with that.
Defintely a good buy and I don't regret the purchase but the color scheme is awful in conjunction with other parts of your computer. Oh, I upgraded from some $60 sony headphones that I bought from 2003 and it was night and day in comparison when wearing these, fyi.
