JVC research shows that consumers' biggest problem with in-ear headphones is their tendency to fall out. The HA-FX66 headphones tackle that problem by using a soft silicon rubber air cushion for the earpiece body. In addition, the headphones come with three different size silicon rubber and memory foam cushion earpieces for the best possible fit. The result is an in-ear headphone that stays securely in place while remaining comfortable. What's more, the design also provides superior isolation from background noise, allowing the user to get the most out of the headphone's 8.5 mm neodymium driver. Noise caused by cord movement is also minimized because of the headphone's friction noise reduction cord vibration-proof structure.

 Great product. Finally, in-ears that fit ME. November 29, 2008
I purchased these earphones based on recommendations from [...] members. I previously had tried the ER6i and other in-ear phones, however I have small ears and small ear canals. I could never find ones that were comfortable. These differ from some other types in that they are not actually in-ear-canal earphones. Instead, they are molded to fit in the pocket of your ear - similar to how a hearing aid fits - and the tip just seals up around the end of the ear canal rather than IN it. This results in a good level of sound deadening, clean sound and - most importantly for me - comfort. I can actually wear these things all day, whereas regular iPod phones are only good for an hour. In-ears were less. They work inside my various motorcycle helmets, and since they block a lot of sound, they offer protection for riding *and* help me zone-in at work when things are noisy. I'm very happy with these - finally a set of in-ears that fit ME well.

Use this headset with my iPod Classic and the sound quality is good - much better than the cheap ones that come with the iPod.
This is also on par with the Sony Noise-Cancelling headsets which can be cumbersome to carry.

I have no money to be a true audiophile, but good sound quality is both important to me and something that I attempt to find with any audio product. These JVC earbuds are the best I've come across yet. Before I bought these, I had gone through a variety of sub-$30 sets. Most recently I had tried the iLuv "thangs". Those are terrible, unless of course you only want bass and muddled highs and mids. It seems from my experience that the companies making ear buds all make them with this same sonic approach.
My wife had a pair of the JVC marshmallows hanging around, so I tried those after I had been listening to the iLuvs (they are pink, and well it turns out I am uneasy about wearing pink earbuds around. I wish I weren't so vain!). These 'mallows were so crisp I was beside myself! I found however that the foam earplug style end cap was painful for my apparently narrow ear canal. Thus began my search for other JVC 'buds with the more comfortable silicon ear piece. Enter this unit.
The moral of the story is this: most inexpensive earbud manufacturers think that the only issue that small-form-factor buyers are looking for is bass. That is complete bull. While I'll agree that most 'buds have traditionally been weak on bass, I do not think that all portable music listeners are pop and R n B fans, or unable to hear! Some of us listen to music that relies heavily on instruments whose sound occupies the mid and high range of the scale. JVC has taken into account that a full dynamic range is important to a good percentage of recorded music, and has delivered a product in these 'buds that are both comfortable (be sure you know how to actually wear them, improper use will result in lower sound quality), and sonically superior to pairs both 4 times the price and below the thirty dollar mark.

These are the best ear buds that i have ever seen. They totally trump any other brand or style out there.I have had these for about a year now and the rubber in the ear part is just starting to come off. i have been using these headphones constantly for at least a half hour a day. The sound is absolutely amazing. BUT ! u have to put them in the right way for them to work. That is probably why other people have given them bad ratings. U HAVE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS! but once you do they are the most amazing ear buds you will ever see. they are nice because any other ear bud will fall out of my ear when ever i turn my head or something. but with these, i have actually gotten cought on the cord while they have been on my ear and its held me back. they are also great because i used the have these huge clunky headphones that were noise canceling and they were great but it was just impossible to carry in my pocket or something. then they broke. i just randomly picked these ones cuz they looked nice. and THEY WERE BETTER THEN MY HUGE AMAZING NOISE CANCELING ONES!!! get these headphones but save the directions so you don't forget how to put them on....

These headphones are the best i've ever had and for the price it's just amazing. It comes with a few different size foam pieces to fit just about anyone. The sound that comes out of these is really amazing, it's got great bass and it sounds better than the ipod headphones i first had.
