Won't always work January 7, 2009
This seemed like a perfect purchase to go along with my new Samsung NC10-14GB 10.2-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 6 Cell Battery, XP Home) Blue netbook because I could just plug this gps into the USB port with no long wires. It turns out it won't even work most of the time on that netbook. I've contacted Deluo support but they are unhelpful. It seems I have to keep restarting the netbook to make it work. On my bigger laptop, this issue comes up only sometimes but it does make you wonder why only this usb device is having such a problem. I also know this is not my own error in selecting the ports because it can automatically detect the NavStick, find some satellites, but never gain a lock even in the widest open areas.
If you really want to get a good GPS to go with your laptop, find a unit that actually functions well instead of just looks nice.
