Excellent GPS Works Very well January 6, 2009 I got this for my brother. He loves it and I tried it once. It is easy to use and give great directions. If you want it to actually say street names instead of just turn here, then you need to get a more expensive model.
I like it December 28, 2008 It is easy to use although I have a few questions and there is not a manual and I did not see a way to get answers at their website.
For the most part I really do like it a lot.

Works December 22, 2008 It works alright. Doesn't have maps of the new areas but for the most part it is very decent for the price.
Great device December 16, 2008 The Garmin is a great device for those who are geographically challenged, or those who travel to new areas. It is incredibly easy to use (my[...] granddaughter and my 87 year old father figured it out without help.) The one drawback is that it cannot be used while it is charging. That requires thinking ahead, which is a challenge for some users...
It will get you there - eventually December 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I picked up the pink Garmin nuvi 250 as a lightning deal at a very good price. I like the ease of use, that I can change the driving icon (a blue-nosed reindeer! The Black Pearl!), the search functions for addresses, as well as POIs along the way. Those were all great.
The area I was disappointed in was the actual navigating. Two months after I received this, I took a cross-country trip, which was 26 hours straight driving. On the way back, we were making excellent time as I was driving, but then about half-way through the drive, I found a gas station POI, and drove us there. I turned the keys over to my spouse, and promptly fell asleep. When I woke up a few hours later, we had been directed away from the interstate, and onto state and county highways. I think the device believes you are going to keep going 70 mph, but you cannot do that on the two lane highways somewhere out in Timbuktu. We got home, but probably a couple hours later than if we had stayed on the interstate.
