Not How It Looks - Not A Wall Phone August 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This looks like a nice phone that will sit flat on desk, or against the wall. In my case I wanted a wall phone for the kitchen.
This phone is really clunky, and it has a huge piece you attach to your wall jack, then attach the phone base to it. It looks ridiculous, and sticks way out. Very awkward and inconvenient.
I even called the company to see how to wall mount this phone and they told me I must use the big piece that came with it.
THIS IS NOT A WALL PHONE in spite of the description that says it is.
I feel I was just ripped off for $20. It's not worth paying $8 to ship it back, but makes me hesitant to buy from Amazon again.
Excellent phone for physically challenged seniors May 15, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 88 year old mother, crippled with arthritis and suffering from retinal degeneration due to diabetes, enjoys her new phone which she finds is simple to use, easy to see clearly, except for small buttons for "flash" and volume control. You can't have everything, but she is pleased, for her greatest joy is talking to friends and relatives on the phone when she cannot visit them in person. After I purchased this for her for about $20, I saw the exact item in a display at a visually impaired assistance office -- for $60! Go Amazon!
how can i review this item when it hasn't even been shipped! August 27, 2006 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
amazon, i would be happy to rate the telephone i ordered 7/27/06, but it has not been shipped yet! in fact, when checking the order status, you still state shipping date from 8/30/06 to 9/17/06 expected! well, i guess you just send these questions out to everyone regardless of the status. well i can't say i like the phone, i haven't even gotten it yet!
Phone solved wife's dialing & hearing problems. October 12, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this phone for my wife who was having great trouble with the phone she was using. She has touble seeing & selecting small digit pads and some trouble hearing. This new phone has relatively large keys and a loud volume setting. These two features solved her problems. She loves it!
A Poor Communication Device September 21, 2005 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this phone for my father, 88 years old. He has a hard time while using it in his apartment. The reception is very poor - inconsistent and with interference, even when he is using the channel selection feature. It appears that electronic design of the phone has flaws.
