Motorola MA560 July 30, 2008 It looks pretty good in my living room and it does the job well. It Could have more ringtones and memory for numbers. It is a good choice if you wish to dial most phone numbers you call.
Durable and Functional January 6, 2008 I've had this phone for about 3 or 4 years, purchased new to replace a failing Uniden.
Pros: The phone is VERY durable (held up for years with abuse by teenagers). The battery still holds a charge well. Sound is clear, volume control is in a great location and works well. Handset access to answering machine is a nice feature. Handset works well with plug-in headset. Range is EXCELLENT! Key backlighting is perfect for use in low light or in the dark. Base unit has speaker-phone function (my model has keypad for dialing as well) which comes in handy. Base and handset have "intercom" function to communicate between handset and base.
Cons: lower buttons on the handset (redial, flash, etc) are hard to identify/read/use. Answering machine plays new messages first, but then to hear it again, you have to listen to all the old messages first. Deleting messages must be done before the end of the message, so you really have to do it after you hear it the first time... now you have to listen to the old messages again to find the one to delete. The handset "page" feature is the worst part of the phone. The base unit beeps louder than the handset, so if the handset is in the same room or stuck in a couch cushion, you can't find it because all you hear is the base beeping. Also, if the handset ringer is turned off, it will not beep when paging (poor design in my opinion). Caller ID only stores 40 names/numbers, but that is not a "bad" thing, I only wish it stored as many as my other phones, 50+.

Good phone but not great. It sounds muffled when away from the base (20 ft. or so)..Panasonic is a better value for the Money
Great Phone, Great Quality July 1, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this phone on sale to replace an aging cordless phone/answering machine. The old one was acting up. This phone is great. It's comfortable to hold, easy to use, has great sound quality and volume and works uniterupted throughout our house. The design is smart. The phone sits on the base face up so the caller ID screen is always showing. The answering machine is very clear and crisp. This one is a winner.
Fine, if you have a tiny, flat head March 2, 2005 6 out of 12 found this review helpful
There is no contouring to this phone at all, and the handset is WAY too small and totally flat. I can never have a decent conversation on this phone because when the earpiece is on my ear, the mouthpiece is 2-3 inches away from my mouth.
Also, when I speak, my own voice tends to drown out the person I am talking with.
To top it off, the answering machine always blinks, whether there are messages or not. I have to wonder what they were possibly thinking when they designed such a poor phone. If this were a cell phone I might be a little more forgiving of the handset, but since it is a full sized phone and a rather expensive one I expected much, much better.
As it stands, I am considering buying another phone altogether, this one is so poorly designed.
