 As good as it gets for now. November 4, 2008
I had already purchased the system that this headset goes with and the headset added itself automatically. All I had to do was to charge it. The sound on my end is always crystal clear although one cell phone user said that I was hard to hear. The problem could have been on their end. This is so far superior to my old handsfree skype phone that would sometimes echo. It took me a while to figure out how to transfer calls from phone to phone but it does work. It's not perfect yet but it is the only skype phone system that works off the hub, not your computer, so I don't lose service when there is a brief power outage or the computer goes off. I have now reduced my phone bill from $39 a month to $54 a year with unlimited USA and Canada calling. And if I ever have land lines again it works with them as well. An investment that was well worth it.
 Extra Handset Invaluable November 3, 2008
Skype is our telephone service for both local and international calling. We chose this service because it helps us keep in touch with family scattered around the globe. The handset means we are free from reliance on the computer and the base set means we don't need the computer at all to be connected to the internet. Skype service has improved out of sight from the early days and now it is almost indistinguishable from conventional phone services. The economy can't be beaten particularly when talking with fellow Skypers but even international calls to land-lines are in the 2 cents a minute realm.
Rather than hunting for the one hand seat we decided to have an extra one and this also gives us an intercom which, to be honest, we hardly use because our house is so small. If you had a multi-story house though it would be brilliant. Set up was virtually automatic. Had it working in minutes once it had downloaded the latest firmware. Instruction are clear and the handset and charger are relatively unobtrusive.
Finally, I recommend you get one of these if you like convenience and especially if you have a big house.

I found these hand sets easy to use and a great way to add second/third/fourth line to your home or business and not have to pay maw bell. Range is excellent, feature packed, and best of all you don't need to keep your 200Watt pc on 24/7 to make them work! Turn it on, setup your login/password and it connects to your base station in seconds.
