Product Description DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices. Now you can program each handset to ring - or not - at your discretion. Before going to sleep, simply set the bedside handset to night mode so that it won't ring in your bedroom. In the meantime, the handset in the den will still ring when that important call comes in without disturbing the person who's sleeping. With three handsets included (one base and two chargers) and the option of adding up to three additional handsets - all while using only one base and one phone jack - go ahead and put one in the den, the kitchen, the master bedroom and the living room so you won't have to make a run for it when the phone rings.Don't miss important calls when the ringer is off. The light-up indicator with ringer alert at the base of the antenna will flash quickly to show that you have an incoming call, and it will flash slowly to let you know you have a new message. So turn off the ringer and never miss a call.

It's a Panasonic! December 2, 2008 I already own a 5.8 ghz 2 handset unit, and have been completely happy with it. No static, no drama. This is why I chose this set for the remaining phone-less rooms in the house. Main plusses include: blinking message indicators, fine sound quality with adjustable volume, speakerphone, small handsets, easily replaceable batteries, programmable voicemail button- with password integration if desired, any key answer and or auto answer on pick-up, and the wonderful muting of the ringer after bedtime.(who hasn't had that drunk wrong number at 3am?) There are a few issues like non illuminated keys, but you just turn on a bedside lamp to dial at night for goodness sake.(wadaya want for 59 bucks?) Bottom line: I feel this is a quality choice at a reasonable price.
disappointing November 29, 2008 This has been a big disappointment for us. I have bought 3 Panasonic cordless phones--the first 2 were great--lightning zapped both of those (one of the joys of summertime in the deep south!). Anyway, the previous one was the KX-TG 2422, and it was by far the best cordless phone I have ever used--batteries lasted for days without recharging, range was excellent, clarity outstanding, etc.--I cannot say enough good things about it. Unfortunately, when lightning got it this spring this model had been discontinued, so I replaced it with the 6313S. It was okay at first, though I did not like it as well, but it was okay. Now, for the past couple of months it will not hold a charge for more than a couple of hours, sound quality is getting poor, one of the handsets sometimes freezes up and will not do anything--cannot answer on it, make a call from it, or view any information from it. It does this periodically for some unknown reason, then resolves itself. I would not recommend this to anyone. Also, just for my personal preference, I prefer to have the option of a shared phonebook. With the other model, I had my most called numbers on one handset ("my phone"), and my husband's on the other handset ("his phone"). This saved a lot of time and annoyances by not having to scroll through the list of each other's friends/contacts. We shared family members numbers, but kept others separate. I am currently reading the reviews and trying to decide what to try next, it is very frustrating and time-consuming.
Absolutely Useless November 21, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought these phones to add extra phones in the house. Completely useless. Can't get them to pick up when people call, can't get them to dial tone when wanting to place a call. Went through configuration and setup, no trouble shooting steps. Error says "no connection to base, reconnect AC adapter" Spend you money elsewhere.
Great Phones! November 20, 2008 These are great phones for the price. They arrived quickly and programming them was very easy. However, I'm a little unhappy about not being able get a number from any of the phones caller ID if it is currently in use
Better than expected November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Panasonic Dect 6.0, 3 handheld system works as advertised. Sound is fine with no iterference. The range is great, much better than expected from reading other reviews. The intercom is especially handy and easy to use. I like the voice mail indicators. If you don't need an answering machine, this is the way to go. I particularly like the fact that the rechargeable batteries are AAA, and easily available. Battery life is about one week before a recharge. I would definitely purchase it again.
