 Fast, worth the extra money December 2, 2008
If you need a fast USB drive, this one will make your life easier. I use mine as the primary drive for some applications, so having fast transfers is essential. I am extremely happy with this purchase, despite being disappointed with a different Lexar drive a few years ago.
Way FAST flash drive November 2, 2008
I paid about $70 for my first one of these - way expensive for a 4GB drive nowadays. But when I saw how fast it really was, I felt it was worth the $$$. However, I later found that the connector is somewhat fragile - maybe no more so than other drives, I'm not sure - but I broke mine when it was in a laptop usb port and I tilted the laptop up. Bummer! Then I found that now (about two months after purchasing the first one), the price has come down to around $35 if you shop around. Highly recommend these, especially at that price. You can get cheaper 4GB drives now (maybe around $18), but they're nowhere as good as these.

Stylish and sleek-- Again I always have space issues, because I am swamped with files on my computer that I need to bring everywhere I go. Otherwise my laptop moves slow- just like others. I do recommend this to anyone who loves lexar.
 Lexar Lighting Jump Drive September 7, 2008
Lexar JDP4GB-431 4GB JumpDrive Lightning this product was advertised as having a PowerToGo option which allows you to carry programs right on the jump drive to open files contained on your jump drive; thereby, not needing the host computer to have the programs or leaving any traces ie. temp files on the host computer. This PowerToGo option works on a limited basis; when contacting Lexar their online support had no clue as to the workings of PowerToGo, they directed me to the people who developed the program. Those people provided no support whatsoever. The jump drive itself works well but that is not the only reason I bought it; therefore, they did not deliver as advertised and they don't care to do anything about it.

In the past, I have been very satisfied with Lexar JumpDrives. Seeing that they no longer create the Sport model, I thought I would try the Lightning. To be honest, almost all usb drives are becoming affordable, putting massive amounts of memory at your fingertips. So, I thought, why not get a sleek looking model that (with a metal casing) is sure to be durable? Lightning fulfills all of these criteria, however, the flaw that I found came right along with its sleek casing: the near impossibility of getting the darned cap off--there is no way to grip it. Seriously, I fought with it for fifteen minutes the first time I tried to use it; not the best for trying to do a quick download.
