Product Description Combining all of today's most popular flash drive features, Memorex's TravelDrive USB flash drive is not just a flash drive - it's a sport utility drive. With a capless design and distinctive form, Memorex has updated the TravelDrive for 2007 and offers the drive in a range of "off-road inspired" colors.A soft-touch material provides a protective outer shell that allows for easy gripping. The drive features a reinforced lanyard hook and a wrap-around blue LED indicator lamp that further distinguish this portable storage device.

One impressive little flash drive. November 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
How does one review such a product? Let me say that I've used it to transfer files from my HP desktop running Windows XP to my Dell laptop running Windows Vista with no problems. The speed at which it transfers files is blazing...but I imagine that speed would be greatly reduced if operated in a 1.1 port...though most computers have the 2.0 port...so unless your computer is more than a few years old there shouldn't be any conflicts. Be aware that for security purposes it does have a switch that will lock the drive...but this is a positive and not negative...keeping your files safe from accidental deletion...or over-writing. The price, size, speed, and security add up to one impressive little flash drive.
Has worked well for me July 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been using the drive since April (about 4 months). It has worked fine. I use it to transfer/backup files on three different computers: two use Win-XP and one uses Ubuntu. I've not had any problems with a write-protection error.
Write protect curse April 27, 2008 Like others I've seen, I used the drive only a couple of times, and when I tried to delete to make space for other files, I got the "write protected" message, and formating, deleting, nothing is an option at this point. I've tried it on three different computers and nothing works. Went to the Memorex website for support, and it's useless for this issue.
This Memorex Travel Drive sucks April 12, 2008 My wife bought me this drive because I need it for "traveling". And it is called a "Traveldrive". I have attempted to use it in 4 different computers now. Only a brand new HP laptop running Vista Home Premium would read it. No other operating systems such as XP Pro or Vista Ultimate would read the drive.
When you depend on something to work and it does not, that really leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Memorex needs to stick to anything else but computing because so far they are batting zero!
Great Product At A Great Price! December 22, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought the Memorex 8GB Traveldrive and absolutly love it! It is very easy to use and works well between my two computers (XP and 2000) without any trouble. The security software is very user-friendly. It's like having an extra 8GB of space for any computer! Just plug it in and go! The transfer speed is also very fast! (Less than 25 seconds for a 700MB file!) If you want speed, portibility and ease of use, this is an excellent choice!
