Flash Drive December 2, 2008 I have had many flash drives being I work in IT. I like this drive because it has a sturdy outside. I use my flash drive many times a day and it takes a real beating. I normally only get a couple months out of my drives and this has surpassed my normal usage. I would highly recomend this item, and would purchase another in a flash.
Not really a PD16 - maybe November 26, 2008 I purchased one of these through Amazon (different vendor). I already had a PD16 in the red color which used the software AP_V14.exe from the A-Data web site. This allowed both the secure and public partitions to be accessed at once on the drive (2 drive letters). The new one arrived and it would not work with the AP_V14.exe software. I contacted A-Data and they immediately supplied me with a format program that worked but it would only allow access to either public or private at a time and it formatted the drive as FAT not FAT32. The fact that the original drive was red, the new was supposed to be silver but in fact was blue seemed to mean something (????). It may be my imagination but I think the older (red) drive is faster than the blue (sold as silver) that won't function with the AP_V14.exe software. The vendor was willing to take the drive back but depending on your needs --- beware.
good price great storage but space slow speed August 1, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
great price great storage space but slow speed. It is not as fast as sandisk flash drive but it is a good price if you don't mind waiting to save a long file.
