110 bucks down the drain October 5, 2007 They do not sound any better then anything else
All the extra money is for the box they come in that has to be pretty much destroyed to get at at the headphones, thus foiling any attempt to return them.
My $9 Sony ear speakers beat these.
I tossed them in the trash. I didn't want to be reminded of my gullibility.
Poor babies - September 2, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I can't believe all the crybabies here! lmao I not only own a set of these awesome In-ear headphones but I have purchased them for friends and family as well, all of whom seem to be VERY happy with the product.
My advice to all the crybabies is, do us all a favor and return the damn things if you don't like them!
Sound great...Bad design so far August 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a set of Philips SHE9501 earbuds, and they sound great...one problem, no matter which size buds I put on them, they bothered my ear canals and I could only wear them for a day or two before I had to let my ears rest. Incidentally, I have bought other earbuds and have similar problems with all other brands too.
So, I bought these earbuds because they rest in the bowl of the ear instead of inside the canal and I have to say that they are much more comfortable and I am much happier because of it. Another advantage is the symmetrical earbud wires. I know the asymmetrical wires on the other earphones are supposed to allow you to wrap the wires behind the neck, but I personally don't like that because when I turned my head to the left and right, eventually, one of the earbuds would be uncomfortably pulled on either by my shirt collar or something else. Finally, the wire is not "grippy" like some other headphones, so it seems pretty resistant to tangling and getting caught in the folds of my clothing.
On the other hand, there are some short-comings.
First, I do not like the overtly obvious, "hey everyone, take a look at me...I'm so huge", North-American-continent-sized handle/grip at the jack. It makes it hard to open my iPod protective leather case when the earphones are attached to the iPod. Second, although the earbuds are more comfortable resting in the bowl of my ear, it does take some work to get them to stay in, but really I was literally getting headaches with the other canal-style earbuds, so I really don't mind the extra work involved. Finally, the silicon ear buds seem like they will not last too long, but I will give them a fair day in court.
In summary, I would have rated these a "5" if it hadn't been for the Volkswagen-sized grip/handle and if they were a little easier to fit in my ear. The positive side is I bought them at a local retailer that gives a 90-return policy. I have 90 days to return them for any reason whatsoever so long as I have my receipt and original packaging.
To be completely honest, the only thing I'm sorry about is that I have wasted $100.00 or more buying other earbuds before I bought these.
Just one man's opinion. :)
Waste of money June 29, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with everyone that talks about the stupid things falling off. I am continually looking for the little plastic sleeve and they constantly fall out of my ear. Maybe they are designed for some music listener's ear in the middle of Nebraska. That one person in millions who's ear fits these things perfectly. Alas, I am apparently not that person so for me they suck :-) Sound is not bad but nothing special and if you don't plan on moving or are in a coma i think these will work fine for you
Not worth the money June 27, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The reason that I bought these headphones is because the ones that come with the iPod are beyond horrible and I was sick of paying roughtly $50 every 3 to 6 months to replace them. I guess the plus with the Bose headphones was that they lasted a full 6 months before they crapped out in the same fashion that Apple's do...one headphone just cuts out and now I can only hear out of one of the headphones.
